Can we arrive early to setup?
You are welcome to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time, but may not be able to access the lane until it is fully prepared.
Can I arrive later than my booked time?
Yes, however this will cut into your time and you may not be able to complete a full tournament if you arrive late.
Do I need to sign a liability waiver?
Yes, when you arrive and check-in, you will sign an electronic liability waiver before you can throw axes.
Are you insured?
Can I bring my child or baby?
This is a personal decision, but you must be able to watch your child carefully. We do not tolerate any unsafe behavior.
Can I throw if I’m pregnant?
This is a personal decision based on your own ability. We will not stop you from throwing, but please be safe.
Will there be any kind of training?
Yes, before your tournament starts, an axe coach will show you step-by-step how to safely throw.
Do you offer prizes?
Typically no, but sometimes we will hold house tournaments and an prize will be announced before the tournament begins. However, you are welcome to bring a prize for your group (some people like to do that)
Can I rent the whole place?
Yes, for inquires about renting the entire place send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Do I get my own target?
We may allow 2 groups per lane, but each group will definitely have their own target.
Are their tournaments and leagues?
Yes, you can join a league at Angry Axe. Our league nights are typically on a Tuesday, but may vary per season.
Can I bring my own axe?
No, insurance doesn’t like it.
What are the proper axe throwing techniques?
There are a few different axe throwing techniques that will be explained on site.
Can kids throw at Angry Axe?
Axe throwers should be at least 12 years of age or older.
How safe is Axe Throwing?
It is surprisingly safe with proper instruction. Safety is very important to the Angry Axe team and the axe throwing community in general.
Can we take pictures and videos?
Yes, please do. We encourage it!
What kind of people throw axes?
Well, you don’t have to be a lumberjack or bearded outdoorsman to throw axes….if that is what you were thinking. We see all kinds of people enjoy the sport of axe throwing.
Can people come to watch?
If you are apart of a group, but do not wish to throw axes, then you can come and spectate. Otherwise, you can come on the nights that we allow “Walk-Ins”
What form of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards.
How many people do I need to book?
You will need at least 4 people to book an event, check the schedule for our events or walk-in nights if you want to come without a group.
How long are axe throwing sessions?
2 to 2.5 hrs
What should I wear?
You must have closed toed shoes to participate.
Sports attire or comfortable clothes are recommended. Dress shirts look great, but they are restrictive for axe throwing, so please wear something comfortable that allows a full range of motion.
What is the cancelation policy and what if I need to make changes to my booking?
We have a 1-week cancellation or rescheduling policy. If you give us 7 days notice, we will refund your deposit or help you book on another day (based on availability)
